Over the past four years, the Online Mental Math World Cup (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) has connected thousands of young math enthusiasts across the globe, while our in-person championships — the Global Mental Math Olympiad in Dubai (2023 & 2024) and the Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad (2025)
Mental Math World Cup 2026 - Introduction
Live Math Competitions & League proudly presents the 5th Edition of the Mental Math World Cup 2026, building on the legacy of our three flagship events. Over the past four years, the Online Mental Math World Cup (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025) has connected thousands of young math enthusiasts across the globe, while our in-person championships — the Global Mental Math Olympiad in Dubai (2023 & 2024) and the Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad (2025) — have created world-class platforms for international talent. Together, these landmark events have established Live Math Competitions and League as a global leader in promoting excellence, competition, and community in Mental Math.
Highlights of Mental Math World Cup 2025 (4th Online Edition):
- 8,600+ participants from 57 countries competed in MMWC 2025 across various Challenges.
- Our aim is to help children develop interest in Mental Math by practicing their Math Skills in a Gamified and Competitive Math Environment.Children invariably perform better in Gamified Competitions compared to traditional exams.
Highlights of Global Mental Math Olympiad 2024, Dubai (2nd Offline Edition):
- GMMO 2024 drew 800 participants from 50 nationalities for a dynamic two-day event in Dubai.
- Schools and training institutes from India, USA, Romania, Spain, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Qatar, and Egypt attended this Event along with participants from all the Seven Emirates (UAE).

Competition Details - Standard Mandatory Challenge
Mental Math World Cup 2026 presents a lineup of 3 exhilarating competition challenges, encompassing one Mandatory Challenge and 3 Optional Challenges:

Standard Mandatory Challenge
This Challenge is Mandatory and consists of two rounds.
Round 1: Elimination Round
- Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Question Attempt: Participants are granted 3 attempts for an unlimited number of MCQs, tailored to their respective Age Categories and allocated time.
- Total Score of these 3 attempts will be considered for ranking and qualification to the Grand Finale
Duration as per Category:
- Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8) – 3 attempts of 6 minutes each
- Master Category (Ages 9 to 11) – 3 attempts of 7 minutes each
- Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 and above) – 3 attempts of 8 minutes each
Scoring System:
- Correct Answer: +10 points
- Incorrect Answer: -2 points
- Note 1: Round 1 will be conducted on our Competition App “Arena By Livemcl”
Round 2: Grand Finale
- Qualified Participants will move to Round 2, that is the Grand Finale Round.
- This will be a Live on Camera Event. Exact date and time slots will be provided to all the Finalists.
Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100 questions.
Duration as per Age Category:
- Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 10 minutes
- Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 12 minutes
- Grandmaster Category (12 years and above): One round of 12 minutes
Scoring System:
- Correct Answer: +10 points
- Incorrect Answer: -2 points
- Skipped Questions: No negative marking.
Note 1: We do not charge any fees for the Second Round of the competition.

Optional Competition Challenges - Sprints
Participants have the flexibility to select and engage in Any One or All the Optional Competition Challenges
- The Sprint Challenge encourages skill testing in additions-subtractions and multiplications.
- It provides a competitive platform for participants to elevate proficiency in these specific mental math topics.
- Participants compete in their respective age categories

Question Format: Unlimited Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)

Note 2: Similarly, Top 100 Rankers of GMMO 2025, Dubai in the Standard Mandatory Challenge will be listed on our Top Rankers page on our website and will qualify directly for the MMWC 2027 Grand Finale, bypassing the Round 1 elimination. However, registration Process remains unchanged.

Rewards & Recognition Disclaimers
- The final decision regarding reward distribution rests solely with the organizers/management after thorough due diligence.
- Payouts will be based on the local INR rate as of the settlement date for currency exchange.
- World Super Topper ranks for the Standard Mandatory and Zen Master Challenges are determined by score; in case of a tie, completion time is considered, with a tie- breaker round at the organizers' discretion if needed.
- Country Top Rankers will receive medals only if the participant count from that country surpasses 100.
- Medal delivery is subject to the customs rules and regulations of the respective country.
- Medals will be delivered only to the school address of the participant.
- The management reserves the right to change event dates and any rules of the competition due to unforeseen circumstances
General Disclaimers
1) Use of Calculators, Abacus/Soroban or any other device is strictly prohibited
2) Participants are allowed to use Pen and Paper for Rough Work if they choose to.
3) Network Issues: We are not liable for any issues arising during the event due to network problems. As this is an online competition, participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection for optimal participation.
4) Contestant Authentication: Contestants must attempt the competition only from their registered email ID on the app. User IDs and steps to change passwords will be communicated exclusively through the registered email ID.
5) Registration Accuracy: Parents are strongly advised to provide accurate details during registration, as the entered information cannot be modified. Any disqualification resulting from incorrect registration details will not be eligible for a refund of registration fees. Additionally, inaccurate information may lead to the cancellation of registration and disqualification from the competition. Please note that registration details will be shared with the respective schools.
6) Multiple Registrations: Parents registering for a second ward are required to use a different email address for each registration.
7) Dispute Resolution: In case of any disputes or issues related to the competition, the organizers of Live Math Competitions and League reserve the right to make the final decision.
8) No Refund Policy: We regret to inform you that our events operate under a strict no-refund policy. Once registration is confirmed, no refunds will be provided for any reason.
9) Terms and Conditions: The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the competition at any time without prior notice.
