Competition Formats and Challenges
GMMO 2026, Mumbai offers a dynamic lineup of three Competition Challenges:
1) The Standard Mandatory Challenge,
2) Addition & Subtraction Sprint Challenge
3) Multiplication Sprint Challenge
Standard Mandatory Challenge
Question Format: Engage with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100 questions.
Duration as per Category
- Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 12 minutes
- Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 15 minutes
- Grandmaster Category (12 - 15 years ): One round of 15 minutes
- Grandmaster Open Category (16 years and above): One round of 15 minutes
Scoring System
- Correct Answer: +10 points
- Incorrect Answer: -2 points
- Skipped Questions: No negative marking
Sprints Optional Competition Challenges
- The Sprint Challenge encourages skill testing in additions-subtractions and multiplications.
- It provides a competitive platform for participants to elevate proficiency in these specific mental math topics.
- Participants compete in their respective age categories
Sprint 1: Additions and Subtractions Sprint Challenge
Question Format: Unlimited Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
Duration as per Category:
- Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8): One Round of 2 Minutes
- Master Category (Ages 9 to 11): One Round of 5 Minutes
- Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 - 15 Years): One Round of 5 Minutes
- Grandmaster Open Category (16 years and above): One round of 5 minutes

All registered participants can attend a special Mental Math Tips and Tricks webinar tailored to their age categories:
- Industry experts will cover important topics based on the competition syllabus.
- For our Master and Grandmaster category participants Mr. Daniel Timms will conduct webinars. He is a British mental math trainer and author, he runs the World Mental Calculation website and serves as an official coach for international championships, helping professionals and students master advanced numerical techniques
- These webinars are designed to make Mental Math enjoyable, enhance competition performance, improve overall calculation skills, and explore key syllabus topics
- Optional Attendance: These webinars are optional and are intended for participants who are new to mental math or looking to explore more mental math techniques

Participant Guidelines and Terms
1. Assigned Timeslots: All participants will receive a specific timeslot according to their age category via their registered email address. This staggered schedule is designed to minimize waiting time for participants and their parents at the venue.
2. Registration and Reporting: Participants are required to register and check in at the Welcome Desk at least 30 minutes before their assigned timeslot.
3. Attire: All participants must be dressed in their school or training institute uniforms.
4. Identification: All participants must carry age-proof documentation or a school ID card, which will be checked at the welcome desk.
5. Device Usage: The competition rounds will be conducted on Tablets provided by the organizers at the venue.
6. Rough Work: Participants are allowed to use Pen and Paper for rough work which will be provided by the organizers at the venue
7. Mock Test: Participants must engage in the Online Mock Test using their registered email ID on our Competition app “Arena by LiveMCL”. User IDs and password-change instructions will be sent to the registered email address. This will ensure smooth participation on the competition day.
8. Accuracy Registration Details: Ensure that accurate registration details are provided as changes post-registration are not possible. Incorrect information may result in registration cancellation without fee refund.
9. Multiple Registrations: While registering a second child, parents must use a different email ID. Email id provided during registration will be the login id of the participants and hence has to be unique for each participant
10. Dispute Resolution: The Live Math Competitions and League organizers hold the right to make final decisions and interpretations on any disputes or issues related to the competition.
11. Force Majeure: In the case of a Force Majeure event leading to competition cancellation or rescheduling, organizers shall not be held liable.
12. Refund policy: We regret to inform you that our events operate under a strict no-refund policy. Once registration is completed, no refunds will be provided for any reason.
13. Terms and Conditions: Organizers retain the right to modify the competition's terms and conditions at their discretion and without prior notice
