The Sri Lanka Mental Math Olympiad 2027 is being conducted by Live Math Competitions and League in collaboration with Kirula H4 International Campus
SLMMO 2027 will be conducted online on Saturday, 27th and Sunday, 28th Feb 2027. Participants will take the test on our Competition App from home while being on a Zoom meeting, as per the time slot allocated to them. Exact Time slots will be shared one week before the event.
About Sri Lanka Mental Math Olympiad 2027 (Online)

SLMMO 2027 is a part of LiveMCL’s elite annual global championship series alongside MMWC, GMMO and BMMO.
The Sri Lanka Mental Math Olympiad 2027 is being conducted by Live Math Competitions and League in collaboration with Kirula H4 International Campus.
Kirula H4 International Campus, operating as the educational and training arm of the All Ceylon Justice of the Peace Community Development Foundation (SLFD / JPSL), plays a major role in expanding the capabilities of Justices of the Peace (JPs) across Sri Lanka.
Kirula H4 International Campus empowers Sri Lankan children through quality education, uniting educators and community leaders to nurture young minds.
The year 2026 marked a landmark phase for Live Math Competitions and League with the successful completion of:
- The launch of 1st Mumbai Edition of Global Mental Math Olympiad in April 2026.
- 2nd Edition of the Bahrain Mental Math Olympiad 2026 in June 2026
- The 5th Edition of the Online Mental Math World Cup 2026 (8,100+ participants from 56 countries)
- The 4th Edition of the Global Mental Math Olympiad 2026 Dubai which will be held on 31st October 2026
We warmly invite students in Sri Lanka to be part of this exciting global movement in Mathematics.
SLMMO 2027 is a unique, Fully Digital Mental Math Competition, now conducted online in a secure, supervised environment that enhances learning and engagement.
Participants will use their own Android/iOS smartphones or tablets to compete in a time-bound, multi-mode competition format with live leaderboards, offering instant results instead of traditional pen-and-paper exams.
Our mission is to inspire a love for Mental Math through exciting competition formats that build speed, accuracy, and confidence.
SLMMO 2027 will bring together students from Sri Lanka to compete on the National stage. We look forward to welcoming you to this celebration of mental math excellence!

Competition Formats and Challenges
SLMMO 2027, offers a dynamic lineup of three Competition Challenges:
1) The Standard Mandatory Challenge
2) Addition & Subtraction Sprint Challenge
3) Multiplication Sprint Challenge
Standard Mandatory Challenge
· Question Format: Engage with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
· Question Attempt: Attempt a total of 100 questions.
· This will be a Live on Camera Event. Exact date and time slots will be provided to all a week before the competition date.
Duration as per Category:
· Challenger Category (6 to 8 years): One round of 12 minutes
· Master Category (9-11 years): One round of 15 minutes
· Grandmaster Category (12 and above): One round of 15 minutes
Scoring System:
· Correct Answer: +10 points
· Incorrect Answer: -2 points
Skipped Qusetions - No Negative Marking
Sprints Optional Competition Challenges
Participants have the flexibility to select and engage in any one or both the Sprints Optional Challenges
- The Sprint Challenge encourages skill testing in additions-subtractions and multiplications.
- It provides a competitive platform for participants to elevate proficiency in these specific mental math topics.
- Participants compete in their respective age categories
Note: For participants taking part in the Standard Mandatory Challenge and/or either of the Sprint Challenges, please be advised that the Sprint Challenges will commence immediately after the Standard Mandatory Challenge, following a short break. A single Zoom link and time slot will be provided one week before the event date on your registered email address.
Sprint 1: Additions and Subtractions Sprint Challenge
Question Format: Unlimited Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
This will be a Live on Camera Event. Exact date and time slots will be provided to all a week before the competition date.
Duration as per Category:
- Challenger Category (Ages 6 to 8): One Round of 2 Minutes
- Master Category (Ages 9 to 11): One Round of 5 Minutes
- Grandmaster Category (Ages 12 - 15 Years): One Round of 5 Minutes
Scoring:
- Correct Answer: +10 points
- Incorrect Answer: -2 points
- Note: No option to Skip Questions
Sprint 2: Multiplications Sprint Challenge
Question Format: Unlimited Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)

Step 2: On the Login Page, click on forget password to reset your password, the password will be sent on your registered email id. Enter the new password and login to the app.
Step 3: Get competition ready on the Live Math Competitions and League app with our tailored Practice Modules for every challenge.
• Select “Standard Mandatory Challenge Practice Levels” to prepare for the Standard Mandatory Challenge.
• Select “Sprints Practice” to get ready for the Sprint Challenges.

Note:- Please note that there is a separate Competition App for Prep/Mock and actual event, details of which will be shared with all registered Participants later.

Note 2: SLMMO Super Topper ranks for the Standard Mandatory Challenge are determined by score; in case of a tie in score, completion time is considered, with a tie-breaker round at the organizers' discretion if needed.

Participant Guidelines and Terms
Prohibited Devices: Use of calculators, abacus, soroban, or any other electronic or mechanical calculation device is strictly prohibited.
Permitted Materials: Participants are allowed to use pen and paper for rough work if they choose to.
Network Issues: We are not liable for any issues arising during the event due to network problems. As this is an online competition, participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection for optimal participation.
Contestant Authentication: Contestants must attempt the competition using only their registered email ID on the app. User IDs and password reset instructions will be communicated exclusively through the registered email address
Registration Accuracy: Parents are strongly advised to provide accurate details during registration, as the entered information cannot be modified. Any disqualification resulting from incorrect registration details will not be eligible for a refund of registration fees. Inaccurate information may also lead to cancellation of registration and disqualification from the competition. Please note that registration details could be shared with the respective schools.
Multiple Registrations: Parents registering a second ward must use a different email address for each registration. Duplicate registrations under the same email ID may not be processed correctly.
Dispute Resolution: In case of any disputes or issues related to the competition, the organizers of Live Math Competitions and League reserve the right to make the final decision. All decisions made by the organizers shall be final and binding.
No Refund Policy: We regret to inform you that our events operate under strict no-refund policy. Once registration is confirmed, no refunds will be provided for any reason whatsoever.
Terms and Conditions: The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the competition at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of participants and parents to stay informed of any changes.

Ranking & Tie-Breaker Criteria:
• Standard Mandatory Challenge: Toppers’ ranks for the Standard Mandatory Challenge are determined primarily based on the scores achieved. In the event of a tie, the completion time will be taken into consideration. If required, the organizers reserve the right to conduct a tie-breaker round at their discretion to determine the final rankings.
• Sprint Challenges: Sprints Challenge Toppers are ranked based only on the scores achieved, with a tie-breaker round at the organizers' discretion if needed.
• Award Distribution & Final Decision: The final decision regarding Award distribution rests solely with the organizers/management and will be made only after thorough due diligence and verification of all relevant factors.
